  2. Oct. 02 – A Tunisian soldier was wounded when three Islamist thugs assaulted him on a street in the city of Kairouan. [Mos & MS]
  3. Oct. 12 – Rioters incited by Islamist extremists set fire to a local government office in the town of Souk Lahad, in the Kébili governorate. The residence of a government official was also torched by the attackers.
