Antoine Frèrejean (°1996) is a Frenchman from Paris who become involved in jihadi activity following his conversion to Islam in 2013.1 He became an enthousiastic supporter of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [DaIISh; Dawlat al-Islamiya fi-Iraq wal ash-Sham] and established contact with prolific instigator and recruiter Mourad Farès.2 Frèrejean helped facilitate the travel of at least one jihadi from France to Syria.

Frèrejean later became involved with several other Islamist militants from across France and conspired with them to attack a French naval facility near the southern city of Perpignan.3 They planned to videotape the beheading of an army office before traveling to Syria and join the DaIISh.4 On Jul. 13, 2015, French security forces arrested him and his companions before they could implement their operation.5 A court handed Frèrejean a nine-year prison sentence on Apr. 13, 2018.6
