Apr. 07 – Five soldiers were killed and seven colleagues were wounded when a band of more than thirty militants fired rocket-propelled grenades and sprayed gunfire at a Tunisian military patrol near Sbeitla, in the Kasserine governorate.   17. Jun. 15 – Gunmen opened fire at a police post in Sidi Ali Ben Aoun, in the Sidi Bouzid governorate, killing one officer and setting off a firefight. Three other policemen, one soldier and eight civilians were wounded in the incident. One of the attackers was eliminated in the clash. The JaKI was suspected in the incident.   18. Jun. 26 – A terrorist fired at tourists lounging on a beach before rampaging through a resort hotel in the Port el-Kantaoui suburb of Sousse. The attacker killed 38 tourists and wounded 39 other people. The dead included thirty British nationals, three Irish citizens, two Germans, a Belgian, a Russian national and a visitor from Portugal. At least 25 Britons, eight Tunisians, three Belgians, a German national, a Russian and an Ukrainian citizen were wounded in the incident. The attacker was killed in retaliatory gunfire by policemen.   19. Jun. 27 – A roadside bomb exploded as an army vehicle passed by near Mount Ouergha, in the Kef governorate. Nobody was hurt in the attack. [TAP]
