  2. Jan. 12 – A well-known historic Sufi Muslim shrine was burnt by a group of Salafi Islamist assailants in northern Tunis. Nobody was hurt in the attack. [TL]
  3. Jan. 14 – A band of gunmen from Libya shot up a car close to the border near Faouar, in the Médenine governorate, killing a Tunisian civilian and injuring another one. [TAP]
