The Soldiers of Monotheism in Tunisia [JTT; Jund al-Tawhid fi-Tunis] was a short-lived jihadi entity active in and around Tunis. It was established in the spring of 2013 by Kamel Gadhgadhi, a senior operative of the armed wing of the Partisans of Shari’a in Tunisia [AST; Ansar Achariaâ].¹ The JTT served as a semi-independent logistical support network for the Brigade of Uqba Bin Nafa’a [KUIN; Katibat Uqba Ibn Nafaâ]. It made explosive devices and procured weapons for the KUIN. The outfit furthermore facilitated contacts between the KUIN and Salafi militants across Tunisia.² The JTT disappeared soon after its inception and was likely integrated in the KUIN’s logistical networks.
