The Soldiers of Monotheism in Tunisia [JTT; Jund al-Tawhid fi-Tunis] was a short-lived jihadi entity active in and around Tunis. It was established in the spring of 2013 by Kamel Gadhgadhi, a senior operative of the armed wing of the Partisans of Shari’a in Tunisia [AST; Ansar Achariaâ].1 The JTT served as a semi-independent logistical support network for the Brigade of Uqba Bin Nafa’a [KUIN; Katibat Uqba Ibn Nafaâ]. It made explosive devices and procured weapons for the KUIN. The outfit furthermore facilitated contacts between the KUIN and Salafi militants across Tunisia.2 The JTT disappeared soon after its inception and was likely integrated in the KUIN’s logistical networks.
