  1. The People of Truth [AaH; Ahl al-Haq] was a small jihadi group based in the Tunisian city of Monastir. It was made up of about two dozen members who had pledged loyalty to the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [DaIISh; Dawlat al-Islamiya fi-Iraq wal ash-Sham].1
  2. The AaH was apparently formed in late 2015 or early 2016. Its members planned to carry out attacks against the Tunisian security forces.2 The plots allegedly included plans for suicide bombings.3 Cadres of the AaH were reportedly monitoring the houses of security personnel in preparation for the attacks.4
  3. On Feb. 02, 2016, police discovered the AaH after they had detained one of its members following an altercation with another man who objected to his playing of nasheeds.5 Other operatives of the outfit were arrested later that day.6 Over the next days, the Tunisian authorities rounded up seventeen other cadres of the AaH during operations in Monastir.7 With the arrests, the group was effectively dismantled and nothing was heard from it again.8
