Shamseddine el-Sandi (°1986) is a Tunisian jihadi from the Ettadhamen suburb of Tunis. He is currently thought to reside in Libya.1 From there, the Tunisian jihadi has helped coordinate attacks in his home country at the behest of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [DaIISh; Dawlat al-Islamiya fi-Iraq wal ash-Sham]. Sandi is also involved in recruiting Tunisian jihadis and arranging training for them in Libya.2

Sandi allegedly helped coordinate the March 2015 attack on tourists visiting a museum in Tunis.3 He later reportedly organized the June 2015 attack against beachgoers in Sousse in which 38 people were killed.4 In July 2015, Sandi became one of Tunisia’s most wanted terrorists.5
