Shamseddine el-Sandi (°1986) is a Tunisian jihadi from the Ettadhamen suburb of Tunis. He is currently thought to reside in Libya.¹ From there, the Tunisian jihadi has helped coordinate attacks in his home country at the behest of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant [DaIISh; Dawlat al-Islamiya fi-Iraq wal ash-Sham]. Sandi is also involved in recruiting Tunisian jihadis and arranging training for them in Libya.²

Sandi allegedly helped coordinate the March 2015 attack on tourists visiting a museum in Tunis.³ He later reportedly organized the June 2015 attack against beachgoers in Sousse in which 38 people were killed.⁴ In July 2015, Sandi became one of Tunisia’s most wanted terrorists.⁵
