Rabi’a Bacha (°ca 1984) was a little-known jihadi from the Tunisian town of Soliman. In the mid-2000s, he dropped out of college and joined the Salafist Group for Preaching and Combat [GSPC; Groupe Salafiste pour la Prédication et le Combat] in Algeria.1 In late 2006, Bacha joined the newly formed Soldiers of Asad Ibn al-Furat [JAIF; Jund al-Asad Ibn al-Furat] and acted as the deputy of its leader Lassaâd Sassi.2 He died during clashes with Tunisian security forces in the Soliman area on Jan. 03, 2007.3
