  1. Dec. 02 – An unidentified attackers shot and killed a village headman who was connected in the army’s crackdown on local powerbrokers as he parked his car in the Kabinburi district of the Prachinburi province. [BP]
  2. Dec. 03 – Four electricity pylons were damaged in bomb blasts triggered by militants in the Nongchik district of the Pattani province. [BP]
  3. Dec. 06 – A band of gunmen opened fire at paramilitary troops conducting operations in the Bannang Sata district of the Yala province, sparking a shootout. No members of the security forces were hurt in the encounter. [BP & Nat]
  4. Dec. 08 – Militants detonated a bomb as paramilitary soldiers were resting at a construction site in Pattani‘s Yaring district. Four troops were injured in the attack. [BP]

  7. Dec. 12 – A bomb fitted to a motorcycle exploded as two vehicles of the police forensics department passed by in the Takbai district of the Narathiwat province. No one was hurt in the blast. [BP & Nat]
  8. Dec. 13 – A paramilitary soldier was killed and his father was seriously injured when terrorists detonated a bomb as he visited his mother’s grave in Yala‘s Muang district. [BP & Nat]
  9. Dec. 16 – Gunmen opened fire at lawyers and community leaders as they served an eviction notice to squatters who occupied a palm oil plantation in the Khaophanom district of the Krabi province, killing two civilians and a policeman. Another person was hurt in the attack. [BP & Nat]
  10. Dec. 17 – Militants opened fire at a police unit guarding a railway station in the Raman district of the Yala province. Nobody was hurt in the shooting. [BP]
  11. Dec. 21 – Assailants hurled a hand grenade at a traffic police checkpoint in the Rueso district of the Narathiwat province. No one was injured in the incident. [BP]
  12. Dec. 23 – Seven soldiers sustained injuries when a roadside bomb exploded as a military vehicle passed by in the Rueso district of the Narathiwat province. [BP & Nat]
  13. Dec. 24 – A roadside bomb exploded as a paramilitary foot patrol passed by in Narathiwat‘s Sungai Padi district, wounding one soldier. [BP]
  14. Dec. 26 – Two defense volunteers were injured when vehicle was raked with gunfire by terrorists in the Muang district of the Yala province. [BP]
  15. Dec. 29 – An official was captured, tied up and subsequently shot to death when a group of ten militants raided a local government office in the Sukhirin district of the Narathiwat province. The assailants detonated a roadside bomb as policemen rushed to the scene of the attack, causing no additional casualties. [BP & Reut]
