Overview of incidents

  1. Oct. 01 – Six soldiers sustained injuries when a military foot patrol was struck in a roadside bomb explosion in the Krong Pinang district of the Yala province. The incident was attributed to the RKK. [BP]
  2. Oct. 02 – A roadside bomb went off as a Thai army patrol passed by in Narathiwat‘s Yingo district. No one was hurt in the blast. [BP]
  3. Oct. 08 – A roadside bomb exploded as a military vehicle passed by in the Rueso district of the Narathiwat province. Two passers-by were wounded in the attack. [BP]

  10. Oct. 26 – A roadside bomb exploded as a paramilitary vehicle passed by in the Saiburi district of the Pattani province. No one was hurt in the blast. [BP]
  11. Oct. 27 – Two local government offices were set on fire by attackers in Pattani‘s Nongchik district, causing major damage. [BP & Nat]
  12. Oct. 29 – A gunman shot and seriously wounded an employee of the agriculture department as she was riding her motorcycle in the Muang district of the Narathiwat province. [BP]
  13. Oct. 31 – Bombs exploded at four karaoke bars in the city center of Pattani, killing a waitress from Laos and injuring two other people. [BP & Nat]
