  1. Oct. 02 – A civilian was shot to death by Malay militants as he was waiting for a friend to give him a ride in the Saiburi district of the Pattani province. [BP & Nat]
  2. Oct. 02 – A roadside bomb exploded as a military vehicle passed by in the Krong Pinang district of the Yala province, killing four soldiers. Three civilians were injured in the attack. [BP & Nat]
  3. Oct. 03 – Two soldiers were injured when a roadside bomb exploded as paramilitary troops passed by in the Chanae district of the Narathiwat province. [BP]

  21. Oct. 11 – A roadside bomb exploded as a paramilitary patrol passed by in the Rangae district of the Narathiwat province. Two soldiers sustained injuries in the blast. [BP]
  22. Oct. 14 – Militants set off a roadside bomb and subsequently fired at a passing police pickup truck in the Thanto district of the Yala province. No one was hurt in the attack. [BP]
  23. Oct. 14 – A village chief was shot and seriously injured by militants at his home in Narathiwat‘s Rangae district. [BP]
  24. Oct. 19 – Six soldiers were injured when an army patrol was targeted in a roadside bomb blast in the Rangae district of the Narathiwat province. A second bomb exploded at the scene as security personnel and onlookers gathered at the site, injuring two policemen and five local journalists.   25. Oct. 20 – Militants fired two grenades at a local government office in Pattani‘s Mayo district. No one was hurt in the incident. [BP & Nat]
  26. Oct. 21 – A local man was killed and a relative was injured when Malay militants shot them as they were talking to neighbors outside their home in the Rueso district of the Narathiwat province. [BP & Nat]
  27. Oct. 21 – Terrorists shot and killed a Malay separatist who had recently surrendered to the Thai authorities inside a mosque in the Rueso district of the Narathiwat province. [BP & Nat]
  28. Oct. 25 – Unknown militants sprayed gunfire at a clothes shop in the city of Pattani. Five people were wounded in the attack. [BP & MCOT]
  29. Oct. 26 – Two defense volunteers were wounded when their car was raked with gunfire by terrorists in the Bannang Sata district of the Yala province. [BP]
  30. Oct. 28 – Three explosives experts were killed and another one was wounded when a bomb went off as they were examining the site where another device had been found in the Bacho district of the Narathiwat province. [BP, MCOT & Nat]
  31. Oct. 29 – Militants shot and killed a local government employee as he was riding to work on his motorcycle in Pattani‘s Panare district. [BP]
  32. Oct. 30 – A farmer was shot to death by motorcycle-borne terrorists at his palm oil plantation in the Panare district of the Pattani province. A bystander was hurt in the shooting. [BP]
  33. Oct. 31 – A roadside bomb exploded as paramilitary troops passed by in the Rangae district of the Narathiwat province. A second bomb exploded as the soldiers were examining the site of the blast, injuring a bystander. [BP]
  34. Oct. 31 – Gunmen shot and wounded a civilian as he was riding on his motorcycle in Narathiwat‘s Rueso district. [BP]
