Dmitriy Korobkin (°1990) is a national-socialist militant from the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod. He became devoted to ridding the city of foreigners through violence while studying at a local university.1 On Oct. 13, 2008, Korobkin hurled two firebombs at a café owned by an Armenian.2 In early 2009, he acquainted several likeminded individuals and set up the Nizhny Novgorod Autonomous Combat Cell [NABY; Nizhegorodskoy Avtonomnoy Boyevoy Yacheyki].3

The NABY launched a series of knife attacks against foreigners in March 2009. In one of the attacks, a Kirgiz national lost his life. Two Azeris and an Uzbek citizen were seriously injured in the other incidents. On May 05, 2009, Korobkin and several of his associates launched firebombs at a police station in Nizhny Novgorod.4 He was arrested the next day following a failed attempt to bomb an office of the ruling party.5

A court sentenced Korobkin to a twenty-year prison term on Apr. 28, 2010.6 Two of his companions were also given prison sentences. Korobkin took up painting while behind bars. His incarceration has received some attention in Russian right-wing extremist circles.
