The Comrades’ Group of Anarchists, Communists and Anti-Authoritarians [S-OAKA; Sýntrofoi – Omáda Anarchikón, Kommounistón kai Antiexousiastón] was a left-wing extremist militant outfit which was behind the Feb. 19, 2017 firebomb attack on the headquarters of the socialist SYRIZA party in central Athens by thirty of its associates.1 The group later asserted responsibility for the action on an anarchist website and stated that it had carried out the attack the day before a meeting between the Greek government and its European lenders to protest the “new round of class aggression against the working class and youth”.2 The S-OAKA further denounced the SYRIZA party for engaging in demagoguery while abandoning its ideals and siding with the “capitalist and anti-popular forces”.3
