The Revolutionary Confrontation Cell [RC; Epanastatikí Antepíthesi] was a small anarchist militant group that briefly operated in and around Athens. The group first appeared on Nov. 26, 2011 when its members detonated a small incendiary bomb at a state revenue office in the capital city’s Pangrati suburb, causing only minor damage.1 On Nov. 29, the RC detonated a similar device at another office of the tax authority in Glyfada.2 In early December 2011, the group published a statement on an anarchist website in which it asserted responsibility for the bombings.3 In the communiqué, the RC expressed solidarity with imprisoned members of the Revolutionary Struggle Group [EA; Epanastatikos Agonas].4
