The Nucleus of Black-Green Arsonists [PME; Pyrínas Mayroprásinon Empristón] was a small anarcho-ecologist militant group operating in Greece. The outfit presented itself as an affiliate of the Animal Liberation Front [ALF].1 The PME disparaged environmental activism and called upon likeminded people to reject pacifism.

The PME first emerged on Oct. 28, 2017 when its members burnt vehicles belonging to a butcher shop and a hunter in the Zografou suburb of Athens.2 Later that day, the group assumed responsibility for the incident in a statement posted on an anarchist website.3 In late December 2017, the PME claimed to have laced a small number of food items and drinks with poison.4 The group provided a few pictures. The threat was not taken seriously and failed to generate a food safety scare.

Following these incidents, the PME undertook no further operations. In January 2018, the group released a statement in which it provided details on its motivations.5 Translations of the communiqué were later published on foreign anarchist websites.
