The Fighting Formation [MS] was a Greek anarchist militant outfit that was behind the Dec. 05, 2021 incident in which at least four operatives hurled five homemade firebombs at a police station in the city Patras.1 A police officer suffered a burn injury in the action. The outfit asserted responsibility for the attack in a statement posted on a left-wing extremist website on Dec. 17.2 The assailants claimed to have attacked the police in commemoration of the 2008 killing of a student and the recent death of a Roma car thief in confrontations with police. They also denounced the Greek state for using violence against its opponents and using the coronavirus pandemic as an excuse to create a new class of “undesirables”.
