The Insurgent Border Men [ExA; Exegersiakoí Akrítes] was a short-lived anarchist militant outfit based on the Greek island of Lesbos. Its members detonated an incendiary bomb at the office of legislator for the conservative ND party Charalambos Athanassiou in the city of Mytilene on Oct. 02, 2015.1 The blast and subsequent fire damaged the office and an adjacent dental practice. On Oct. 07, the outfit asserted responsibility for the action in a statement posted on a Greek anarchist website.2 In its message, the ExA denounced the former justice minister for having inaugurated a maximum-security prison for terrorists and dangerous criminals. The outfit furthermore declared solidarity with the hunger strike of anarchist militant Evi Statiri.
