The Armed Revolutionary Forces [EED; Énoples Epanastatikés Dynámeis] was a Greek left-wing extremist outfit that was behind the Feb. 26, 2018 grenade attack on a police station in the Kaisariani neighborhood of Athens.1 A taxi driver sustained injuries in the incident. The action was initially believed to have been an accidental explosion of a vehicle part until the perpetrators claimed to have attacked the post in an anonymous posting on an anarchist website later that day.2 On Mar. 01, the EED formally claimed responsibility for the act in a communiqué distributed on the internet.3 In the statement, the assailants claimed to have carried out the attack in support of the hunger strike by Konstantinos Giagtzoglou, an imprisoned militant of the Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire [SPF; Synomosía ton Pyrínon tis Fotiás]. The outfit threatened further attacks, although it never reappeared. Investigators suspected that the EED might have been comprised of elements of the Revolutionary Self-Defense Organization [OEAA; Orgánosi Epanastatikís Aftoámynas].4
