The Anarchist Gangs of Metropolitan Unrest [ASMT; Anarchikés Symmoríes Mitropolitikís Tarachís] was a short-lived Athens-based anarchist militant outfit. It was behind the Sep. 14, 2019 incident in which approximately forty assailants hurled about twenty homemade incendiary bombs at a police station in the Athenian suburb of Zografou, inflicting only damage.¹ Officers managed to apprehend two of the assailants during the attack.² Both men were released shortly afterwards.³

The ASMT published a statement on an anarchist website on Sep. 20, 2019 in which it asserted responsibility for the incident.⁴ In the message, the outfit called for more attacks on police infrastructure and personnel.⁵
