The Anti-Statist Makhnovites [AkM; Antikratistés Machnovítes] was a Greek anarchist outfit that was behind the Dec. 20, 2015 incident in which dozens of assailants hurled a large number of homemade firebombs at riot policemen near the Turkish consulate in Thessaloniki.1 A few day later, the outfit claimed responsibility for the action in a statement posted on a left-wing extremist website.2 The AkM claimed to have attacked the police to protest alleged state violence.3 The group reported that its operation was unrelated to a similar attack on officers guarding the diplomatic mission two days earlier.4
