The AAO’s Combative Anarchy Cell [AAO-MA; AAO – Machitikí Anarchía] was a militant outfit that operated as an affiliate of the Greek wing of the Informal Anarchist Federation [AAO; Átypi Anarchikí Omospondía]. It first appeared on Apr. 06, 2015 when its members detonated a small incendiary bomb outside the offices of Microsoft in the Maroussi suburb of Athens.¹ The AAO-MA asserted responsibility for the attack in a statement posted on the internet.² The assailants claimed to have targeted the company because the technology giant is a key part of the dominant economic and political system.³ The group resurfaced on Nov. 23, 2015 when it set off an incendiary device at a bank in the Athenian suburb of Pefki, causing only minor damage.⁴ A week later, the incident was claimed by the AAO-MA.⁵
