The Unrepentant Anarchists [AA; Ametanóitoi Anarchikoí] was an Athens-based anarchist outfit. Its operatives threw four incendiary bombs at the Petraki Monastery in the Greek capital city’s Kolonaki neighborhood on Aug. 08, 2016.1 Two parked cars were destroyed in the attack on the complex which houses the Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church. On Aug. 16, 2016, the AA published a statement on an anarchist website in which it asserted responsibility for the attack and claimed to have struck at the church in response to the recent arrests of anarchists and the evacuation of left-wing squatters from occupied buildings in Athens.2
