The Shadows under the Stars [OsÉ; Ombres sous les Étoiles] was a short-lived anarchist outfit that was behind the May 29, 2020 arson attack on two cars parked outside the building in Besançon where member of parliament for the liberal LREM party Eric Alauzet lives.¹ The attackers mistakenly burnt the vehicles of a neighbor of the politician.² The OsÉ claimed responsibility for the incident in a statement posted on an anarchist blog the following day.³ The attack capped a year-long campaign of intimidation in which left-wing activists repeatedly harangued, insulted and threatened the legislator.⁴
