The Comradeship of Costly Greens [AVC; Amicale Verts Cherts] was a short-lived anarchist militant entity that grew out of the radical segments of left-wing squatters blocking the construction of an airport near Nantes.1 Its name is a pun on Françoise Verchère, a local council member who had denounced the radicals despite her opposition to the project.2
The AVC burnt four trucks at the premises of a towing company in Saint-Herblain on Apr. 23, 2018.3 The outfit asserted responsibility for the incident in a message posted on an anarchist website.4 The attackers claimed to have targeted the towing company for its cooperation with police during a recent operation against the squatters.5
