The Disorder Committee [LaI; Lijan al-Irtibak] was a small Ikhwani militant group active in the city of Iskandariya and the suburbs of Muharrem Bey and Sidi Gabr. The outfit was led by local Muslim Brotherhood leader Mustafa Hammam.1 It emerged in the beginning of 2016. On Jan. 24, LaI militants set fire to a money transport vehicle outside a bank.2 Over the next months, the group was responsible for nine other arson attacks, targeting buses, a vehicle of the Egyptian investment authority, a Libyan diplomatic car and a van belonging to the PepsiCo company.3 The authorities rolled up the LaI in June 2016 when police arrested thirteen of its members, including Hammam, during a series of raids on their homes.4
