  16. Oct. 15 – Groups of militants attacked six security checkpoints in the Karam al-Qawadis area of the North Sinai governorate, killing six soldiers and injuring 37 colleagues.   17. Oct. 15 – A trader was shot and injured by unknown assailants near his shop in the city center of Arish, in the North Sinai governorate. [Wat]
  18. Oct. 16 – Bands of terrorists simultaneously attacked a bank and a church in central Arish, in the North Sinai governorate, sparking a round of gun battles with security forces.   19. Oct. 20 – A band of militants ambushed several police vehicles with roadside bombs and rocket-propelled grenades in the Bahariya Oasis, in the Giza governorate, killing sixteen officers and injuring at least thirteen colleagues. Another policeman was abducted by the assailants. Fifteen of the attackers were eliminated in the ensuing gun battles. The hostage was later freed in a rescue operation.   20. Oct. 21 – A civilian was killed and another one was injured when terrorists shot them on the streets of the village of Tayera, in the North Sinai governorate. [Wat]
