  1. Sep. 01 – A young man was injured when unidentified gunmen shot him in Sheikh Zuwaid, in the North Sinai governorate. [MY]
  2. Sep. 06 – A school principal was abducted by gunmen from a café in the city of Arish, in the North Sinai governorate. The hostage was released more than a week later. [Wat]
  3. Sep. 08 – Militants opened fire at police forces in Sheikh Zuwaid, in the North Sinai governorate, injuring one officer. [Wat]
  4. Sep. 10 – Nine policemen were injured when militants detonated a bomb as security forces raided two apartments in the Agouza neighborhood of Qahira. Ten terrorists were eliminated in the operation. Most of the militants came from North Sinai. [Ahr, Bal, DNE, EI, MY & Reut]

  10. Sep. 17 – Militants fired two mortar rounds at security forces in the village of Tayera, in the North Sinai governorate. The shells struck a nearby house, killing a civilian and injuring four others. [Wat]
