1. Feb. 01 – Motorcycle-borne gunmen sprayed gunfire at an office of the traffic infrastructure department in the Haram suburb of Giza, killing one security guard and wounding a colleague. The DaIM claimed responsibility for the attack. [Ahr, Baw, DNE & EI]
2. Feb. 01 – Three soldiers were injured when their vehicle was struck in a roadside bomb explosion west of Arish, in the North Sinai governorate. [EI]
3. Feb. 03 – Suspected AM militants opened fire at a police unit during a raid on their apartment in Qahira‘s Ma’adi neighborhood, injuring two officers. Three terrorists were eliminated in the ensuing gun battles. [Baw]
