Militant Incidents in Egypt (December 2015)

1. Dec. 03 – A roadside bomb exploded as a military armored vehicle passed by on the western outskirts of Arish, in the North Sinai governorate. A soldier and a policeman were hurt in the incident. [EI]
2. Dec. 06 – One officer was killed and four colleagues were wounded when a police vehicle was hit in a roadside bomb explosion in the city of Arish, in the North Sinai governorate. [AM, Baw & DNE]
3. Dec. 08 – A bomb exploded alongside a road in Arish, in the North Sinai governorate. No one was hurt in the incident. [Baw]
4. Dec. 08 – Terrorists detonated a roadside bomb as a military vehicle passed by in the town of Rafah, in the North Sinai governorate. Four soldiers were killed and four colleagues were wounded in the attack. [Ahr, DNE & EI]

8. Dec. 12 – Cadres of the DaIWS shot and killed a civilian who cooperated with Egypt’s security forces in the town of Rafah, in the North Sinai governorate. [Baw]

20. Dec. 22 – Seven police officers sustained injuries when their vehicle was struck in a roadside bomb explosion in the town of Sheikh Zuwaid, in the North Sinai governorate. [Baw & DNE]

25. Dec. 30 – A police officer was shot and injured by unidentified assailants on a highway in the city of Qahira. No further information was provided. [Baw]
