  34. Oct. 31 – A bomb exploded aboard a Russian airliner flying between Sharm el-Sheikh and Sankt Peterburg, causing the plane to crash near Housna, in the North Sinai governorate. All of the 224 passengers and crew members were killed in the attack. The dead included 219 Russian nationals, four Ukrainians and a Belarusian citizen.
