  1. Apr. 05 – Islamic gunmen shot and killed four members of the Coptic Christian community in the village of Khosous, in the Qalyubiya governorate. Three other Christians were wounded in the attack. [Ahr & DNE]
  2. Apr. 07 – Muslim thugs threw firebombs at the Coptic cathedral where funeral services for the victims of earlier religious violence were being held in the city of Qahira.   34. Jun. 23 – Two policemen were briefly abducted by unidentified gunmen near Sante Catarin, in the South Sinai governorate. [Ahr]
  35. Jun. 23 – A mob of approximately 3,000 Salafi Sunni Muslim thugs raided a house where members of the Shi’ite community had gathered in the village of Zawiyat Abu Muslim, in the Giza governorate, killing four people in assaults and knife attacks. The dead bodies were dragged through the streets by the attackers. Approximately thirty other Shi’ites were wounded in the attack. The assailants also burnt five houses of the community.   36. Jun. 24 – A group of militants opened fire at a police station in the Ahrash area of the North Sinai governorate, sparking gun battles. There were no reports of casualties. [AM]
  37. Jun. 24 – Five activists were hurt when Muslim Brotherhood thugs assaulted them while collecting signatures for a petition against president Morsi in the city of Fayoum. [DNE]
  38. Jun. 26 – A journalist was abducted by unidentified assailants during disturbances in the city of Mansoura, in the Dakahliya governorate. The victim was tortured and seriously injured by his captors before he was released the next day. [DNE]

  45. Jun. 29 – A police chief was killed when gunmen raked his car with gunfire in the town of Arish, in the North Sinai governorate. The officer’s driver was seriously wounded in the attack. [Ahr, DNE & Reut]
  46. Jun. 29 – Gunmen fired at an army checkpoint in Goura, in the North Sinai governorate. One of the assailants was eliminated in retaliatory gunfire. [DNE]
  47. Jun. 30 – Motorcycle-borne gunmen opened fire at liberal demonstrators who had congregated outside a local government office in the city of Asiyut, killing three of the protestors and injuring eight others. The incident was attributed to Islamic militants. [Ahr & AP]
