  1. Dec. 06 – Two civilians were shot and injured by thugs as Muslim Brotherhood supporters rampaged through Qahira‘s Alf Maskan suburb. Several fires were set during the violence. [IKC]
  2. Dec. 12 – A car bomb exploded close to a police station in the city of Ismailiya, before the compound came under fire from several militants. A policeman was killed and about 35 other people, including twelve officers, were injured in the attack. [AFP, DNE, Reut & SIS]
  3. Dec. 13 – Gunmen shot and wounded two policemen during riots by supporters of deposed president Morsi in the city of Fayoum. [AM]

  8. Dec. 19 – Motorcycle-borne terrorists sprayed gunfire at a police patrol in the city of Bur Said. One police officer was killed in the attack. [AM]
  9. Dec. 20 – Militants opened fire at Egyptian troops conducting operations against the ABaM in the village of Mahdiya, in the North Sinai governorate, killing two soldiers and injuring eight colleagues. Three of the terrorists were eliminated in the ensuing gun battle. [AFP, Ahr, AM, DNE & Reut]
  10. Dec. 20 – Gunmen fired shots at policemen as they tried to defuse riots by supporters of ousted president Morsi in the Nasser suburb of Qahira. No casualties were reported in the shooting. [DNE]

Dec. 24 – A suicide terrorist detonated his explosives-laden car outside a police station in the city of Mansoura, in the Dakahliya governorate. Sixteen people, including fourteen policemen, were killed and at least 134 others were wounded in the blast.   12. Dec. 25 – Gunmen opened fire at Egyptian troops escorting a vehicle carrying school teachers near the village of Sadat, in the North Sinai governorate. Three teachers, the driver and his assistant were hurt in the attack. [DNE]
