Ihab Yassin (°ca 1978) was an Egyptian jihadi from the Cairene suburb of Shubra el-Kheima, in the Qalyubiya governorate. He studied commerce in the 1990s. By the mid-2000s, Yassin had become involved in jihadi activity. He served as a key member of the Islamic Glory Brigades in the Land of the Nile [KFIAN; Kataeb al-Fakr al-Islami fi-Ard al-Nil].

Yassin helped prepare and execute the suicide bomb attack on tourists visiting the Khan el-Khalil market in Cairo on Apr. 07, 2005.1 Three foreigners were killed in the incident. Police searched for him in the wake of the attack.2 Yassin managed to evade arrest for weeks but was recognized and chased by policemen as he was trying to plant a bomb at a square frequented by tourists on Apr. 30.3 He blew himself up as he jumped off a bridge. Several people were injured in the blast. Upon hearing of his death, his fiancée and sister attacked at a tourist bus in Cairo before committing suicide.4
