Salameh al-Balahini is a Bedouin jihadi from the Sinai Peninsula who serves as a senior operative of the Islamic State’s Province of Sinai [DaIWS; Dawlat al-Islamiya Wilayat Sina’a]. He acts as the deputy of senior DaIWS leader Shadi al-Manei.¹ Balahini furthermore oversees bomb manufacturing and heads several DaIWS cells south of Sheikh Zuweid.²
