Ouda al-Shenoub (°ca 1958) is a Bedouin jihadi who joined Khaled Masa’ed’s Assembly of Monotheism and Jihad in the Sinai [JTJS; Jama’at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad fi-Sina’a] in 2003.1 His brother Salem al-Shenoub was one the group’s most senior members.2 He reportedly helped develop the JTJS logistical infrastructure in the Ismailiya governorate.3 By 2006, Shenoub had become one of the most wanted terrorists in the Sinai.4 On May 22, 2006, he surrendered to the police as security forces encircled his hideout on Mount Hallal.5
