Ouda al-Shenoub (°ca 1958) is a Bedouin jihadi who joined Khaled Masa’ed’s Assembly of Monotheism and Jihad in the Sinai [JTJS; Jama’at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad fi-Sina’a] in 2003.¹ His brother Salem al-Shenoub was one the group’s most senior members.² He reportedly helped develop the JTJS logistical infrastructure in the Ismailiya governorate.³ By 2006, Shenoub had become one of the most wanted terrorists in the Sinai.⁴ On May 22, 2006, he surrendered to the police as security forces encircled his hideout on Mount Hallal.⁵
