Juma Marshoud was a senior commander of the Islamic State’s Province of Sinai [DaIWS; Dawlat al-Islamiya Wilayat Sina’a]. His role within the organization was unclear. In September 2018, Marshoud was eliminated in an operation by Egyptian security forces in the city of Arish, in the North Sinai governorate.1
