Mohammed Ibrahim (°ca 1981) is a little-known Islamist militant from Bahut, in Egypt’s Dakahliya governorate. As a young man, he reportedly studied to become a teacher.1 Ibrahim became devoted to jihad and set up the so-called Abu Anas Module [AAM] in the mid-2010s.2 The cell aimed to attack security forces in Mansoura and establish a local Islamic state in the city.3 Reports indicate that Ibrahim might have trained in bomb-making and the use of firearms in Libya and Syria.4 He was apprehended on Apr. 06, 2014 when the Egyptian authorities rolled up the AAM in a series of raids.5 Several of his close associates were also arrested during the operation.
