Ibrahim Abu Mohsen was an Islamist militant from Rafah, in the Gaza Strip. He reportedly joined the Islamic Resistance Movement [HAMAS; Harakat al-Muqawama al-Islamiya] as a young man.1 Abu Mohsen later traveled to the Sinai Peninsula where he linked up with the Islamic State’s Province of Sinai [DaIWS; Dawlat al-Islamiya Wilayat Sina’a].2 His exact role within the organization was unknown, although he is believed to have served as a mid-level operative. On May 14, 2017 Abu Mohsen was eliminated when security forces raided his hideout south of Rafah, in the North Sinai governorate.3 His death was later confirmed by DaIISh-affiliated sources.4
