Hamad Suleiman (°ca 1983) was a little-known senior commander of the Islamic State’s Province of Sinai [DaIWS; Dawlat al-Islamiya Wilayat Sina’a].1 He was responsible for numerous attacks against the army and police across the North Sinai governorate. Suleiman led fighters who executed five off-duty policemen after the interception of their minibus in February 2017.2 He furthermore served as an important bomb maker for the DaIWS.3 The Egyptian army eliminated Suleiman during an operation in February 2017.4
