Gamal Zaki is a former drug addict and heroin dealer who turned towards Islamist militancy after he had overcome his addiction. Zaki was one of the founding members of the Reinforcements of Egypt [AM; Ajnad Misr] in 2013.1 His role within the AM remains unclear. He was sentenced to death by an Egyptian court in late 2017.2
