Mohammed Khemir is a Belgian jihadi of Tunisian descent from Brussels. He is a longtime associate of Jean-Louis Denis and was seen as his deputy. Khemir was an influential figure within the Jean-Louis Denis Network [JLDN] He also actively encouraged members of the network to join jihadi forces in Syria.1 Khemir also produced jihadi propaganda materials that were distributed on the internet and social media.2

Khemir is a personal acquaintance of notorious Molenbeek-based jihadi Khalid Zerkani.3 He cooperated closely with Zerkani’s network to help facilitate the travel of Belgian jihadis to Syria.4

Khemir was arrested when police raided several premises linked to the JLDN across Brussels on Dec. 09, 2013.5 In January 2016, a Belgian court sentenced him to five years in prison.6
