Affetat has since become involved in radical online activities. He has distributed jihadi propaganda on the internet.2 His websites were repeatedly banned.3 Affetat later created and published propaganda materials for Sh4B in the early 2010s.4

He played an instrumental role in spreading false accusations of sexual abuse of Muslim children by a female teacher at an Antwerp school in the summer of 2013.5 The rumors stoked communal tensions. The authorities believed Affetat had sought to incite local Muslims against Belgians.6 In August 2013, police arrested him in the town of Mons.7 He was later sentenced to six months in prison.8
