  24. Aug. 12 – Motorcycle-borne terrorists fired at a security post in the Yingo district of the Narathiwat province. No one was injured in the attack. [BP]
  25. Aug. 13 – A bomb exploded as security personnel examined the scene of an earlier attack in the Sungai Padi district of the Narathiwat province, killing a police officer. Three other policemen, two paramilitary soldiers, three defense volunteers and a civilian were wounded in the blast. [BP]
  26. Aug. 15 – Militants set off a roadside bomb as a foot patrol of Thai marines passed by in the Bacho district of the Narathiwat province. Two marines were hurt in the attack. [BP]
