  1. Jul. 03 – Gunmen fired at policemen guarding a school in the Rueso district of the Narathiwat province, sparking a gun battle. No one was hurt in the incident. [BP]
  2. Jul. 05 – A trader was shot to death by militants inside her grocery store in Yala‘s Bannang Sata district. [BP]
  3. Jul. 07 – Militants detonated a landmine and subsequently fired at a paramilitary foot patrol in the Thanto district of the Yala province, killing a soldier and injuring a colleague. [BP & MCOT]
  4. Jul. 07 – A defense volunteer was killed in a bomb blast that targeted security forces guarding a school in Pattani‘s Saiburi district. A soldier and another volunteer were hurt in the blast. [BP]
  5. Jul. 08 – Militants opened fire at a minibus in the Krong Pinang district of the Yala province, injuring eight passengers. [BP, MCOT & Nat]
  6. Jul. 08 – A policeman was injured when a bomb exploded in front of a school in the Waeng district of the Narathiwat province. [Nat]

  8. Jul. 10 – Three police officers were killed when gunmen raked their pickup truck with gunfire in the Krong Pinang district of the Yala province. A bystander was hurt in the shooting. [BP, MCOT & Nat]
  9. Jul. 12 – A roadside bomb exploded as a paramilitary foot patrol walked by in the Johirong district of the Narathiwat province. One soldier sustained injuries in the blast. [BP & Nat]
  10. Jul. 13 – Gunmen shot and killed a Buddhist woman as she was riding past a mosque on her motorcycle in Narathiwat‘s Takbai district. [BP]
  11. Jul. 15 – A civilian was shot dead by terrorists as he was on his way to pray at a mosque in the Nongchik district of the Pattani province. [BP]
  12. Jul. 17 – Militants shot and killed a local government employee as he was riding home on his motorcycle in Narathiwat‘s Rueso district. [BP]
  13. Jul. 17 – Five policemen were injured when a security checkpoint came under fire from militants in the Thungyang Daeng district of the Pattani province. The attackers also set fire to the structure. Three terrorists were eliminated in the ensuing shootout. [BP & Nat]
  14. Jul. 20 – Three bombs exploded outside a railway station in the Rangae district of the Narathiwat province. Another bomb went off simultaneously in front of a nearby bank. No one was hurt in the blasts. [BP, MCOT & Nat]
  15. Jul. 20 – Two youths were shot and injured by gunmen as they were riding home on a motorcycle in Narathiwat‘s Sungai Padi district. [BP]
  16. Jul. 22 – Four border policemen were injured when their pickup truck was struck in a roadside bomb blast in the Muang district of the Pattani province. [BP, MCOT & Nat]
  17. Jul. 23 – An explosives-rigged pickup truck went off near a cockfighting arena in the Khokpho district of the Pattani province, killing two civilians and wounding eight others. [AP, BP & Nat]
  18. Jul. 25 – A civilian was shot to death by unknown militants as he was traveling home in the Nongchik district of the Pattani province. [Nat]
  19. Jul. 25 – A roadside bomb exploded as a paramilitary foot patrol passed by in the Narathiwat province, killing a soldier and injuring three colleagues. [Nat]
  20. Jul. 25 – A bomb planted in a parked pickup truck went off outside a hotel in the town center of Betong, in the Yala province. A second car bomb exploded as onlookers had gathered at the scene shortly afterwards. Two people were killed and 52 others were wounded in the blasts. [BP, MCOT, Nat & Reut]
  21. Jul. 25 – Militants fired a grenade at a police car in the town of Betong, in the Yala province. A bystander was hurt in the blast. [BP]
  22. Jul. 27 – A roadside bomb exploded as an army patrol passed by in the Saiburi district of the Pattani province, killing a child. Two soldiers and five civilians were injured in the attack. [AP, BP, Nat & Reut]
  23. Jul. 28 – A civilian was shot and killed by militants as he was walking to work in Narathiwat‘s Takbai district. [BP]
  24. Jul. 28 – Terrorists shot and critically injured a policeman as he was driving home after a visit to a mosque in the Rueso district of the Narathiwat province, sparking a shootout with security forces and the assailants in which a paramilitary soldier was killed.   25. Jul. 31 – A former deputy village chief was shot dead by motorcycle-borne gunmen as he was walking home in the Mayo district of the Pattani province. [BP]
