Overview of incidents

  1. Oct. 05 – Militants shot and killed a former village chief as he was letting his pet monkey swim in a river in the Kapho district of the Pattani province. [BP]
  2. Oct. 09 – A deputy village chief was shot and killed by terrorists as he arrived home in the Yaha district of the Yala province. [BP]
  3. Oct. 12 – Gunmen shot up and bombed a house in the Mayo district of the Pattani province. Three civilians sustained injuries in the blast. [BP]
  4. Oct. 13 – A civilian was shot to death by unidentified terrorists in the Maelan district of the Pattani province. [BP]
  5. Oct. 22 – A man was killed and his son was wounded when militants shot them while they were hunting on a rubber plantation in Pattani‘s Yarang district. [BP]

  9. Oct. 27 – Militants shot and killed an irrigation project manager as he was riding his motorcycle in the Muang district of the Narathiwat province. [BP]

  11. Oct. 29 – An employee of the state railway company was shot and injured by militants at a crossing barrier in the Rangae district of the Narathiwat province. [BP]
