- May 02 – Militants set off a roadside bomb as a group of defense volunteers walked by in the Bannang Sata district of the Yala province. The gunmen subsequently fired at the men. Six volunteers were wounded in the attack. [BP]
- May 02 – A man was killed and his wife was wounded when gunmen shot them as they were traveling on a motorcycle in the Raman district of the Yala province. [BP]
