  1. May 02 – Militants set off a roadside bomb as a group of defense volunteers walked by in the Bannang Sata district of the Yala province. The gunmen subsequently fired at the men. Six volunteers were wounded in the attack. [BP]
  2. May 02 – A man was killed and his wife was wounded when gunmen shot them as they were traveling on a motorcycle in the Raman district of the Yala province. [BP]

  28. May 29 – A roadside bomb exploded as an army unit that was providing security for teachers walked by in Narathiwat‘s Rangae district. Four soldiers and two children were wounded in the blast. [BP & Nat]
  29. May 30 – Gunmen shot and killed two paramilitary soldiers as they were riding a motorcycle in the Kapho district of the Pattani province. [BP]
  30. May 30 – Seven soldiers were wounded when a military pickup truck was struck in a landmine explosion in the Khokpho district of the Pattani province. A policeman was killed and four colleagues were injured when a second bomb exploded as security personnel examined the scene. [BP]
